Game Overview
What is Elf Fight Club?
Elf Fight Club (EFC) is a digital head-to-head fighting game where users can own and fight digital elves with other players from around the world, 24/7, while raising money for charity.
Using emerging technologies such as NFTs (non-fungible tokens), blockchain and cryptocurrency, EFC enables players to build value through ownership of their elf game character while also making an impact on the real world -- thanks to 50% of transactions running to charity.
EFC AT A GLANCE
Today, Elf Fight Club is made up of three core mechanics:
ONE: PLAYING THE GAME WITH YOUR NFT
There are two ways to play the game. First, by competing with your Elf NFT. Second, by bidding on other player's fights (you don't need an elf for this).
CHI & Levels
Each Elf NFT has a rank, denoted by their CHI. CHI is the sum of your Elf's three fighting values spread across Tae Kwon Do, Jui Jitsu, and Kickboxing. For example, if you elf has a Tae Kwon Do skill of 3, a Jui Jitsu skill of 2, and a Kickboxing skill of 2, your Elf's CHI will be 7. Elves can compete against others within 1 point of their own CHI level, so the elf in the illustration about could fight against a level 6 or 8. The level of your Elf's CHI also determines the level of the bidding pool that you can fight to win.
You will be able to send your Elf to the Dojo to level up their CHI (for a small fee).
Fights and Fighters
A match consists of 2 elves and is spread across 3 rounds. Players can configure their CHI's distribution across their fighting styles per round or match. This distribution will affect the outcome of the fight. Paid audience members can also distribute a player's CHI by joining their team for the fight. The average of the audience's distribution for each player makes up 25% of their final CHI distribution for the round.
Each fight is algorithmically generated based on player's and audience's CHI distribution. Their configuration influences the statistical probability of damage per attack. The algorithm generates a video of the fight (built in Unity) that will stream to Twitch. People with a pass (and Elf holders) will be able to watch the fights.
TWO: EARNING GOOD
What is GOOD?
GOOD is the in-game currency of EFC. GOOD will be managed by a DAO (GOOD DAO), and will be modeled in a deflationary way. There will be a whole lot more info on GOOD soon. But the token will be used within the EFC platform to initiate matches, earn winnings, and upgrade your CHI.
Our goal with GOOD (and why it will be managed by a separate DAO) is to create the first charitable token for Defi/GameFi use. EFC and EFC DAO are the first examples of how this token can be used, but we hope to see it gain more acceptance in the future. 5% of GOOD's appreciation will be donated to Charity. You will be able to buy or swap for GOOD on all major exchanges.
Winnings and Contributing to Fights
There are two pools of winnings per fight: the pool the players are competing for and the pool that the audience put in.
Player Pool
The winning player takes 80% of the winnings from the player pool.
10% goes to the charity wallet.
5% goes to the League's developer wallets.
5% gets distributed across everyone holding an Elf (based on total Chi point ownership).
Audience pool
The winning player takes 30% of the coins in the audience pool.
40% get distributed across the audience.
15% goes to the charity wallet.
7.5% goes to the League's developer wallets.
7.5% gets distributed across everyone holding an Elf
GOOD rain
As mentioned above, Elf holders will get GOOD dropped to them with every fight. The amount of GOOD Rain is correlated to each Elf's CHI level.
THREE: HAVING A CHARITABLE IMPACT
This is a fight for good, with giving at the center.
Sure, we want to have some fun by fighting with our little bloodthirsty MMA elves and to make some GOOD while doing it...but the Elves care most about fighting for a cause.
EFC DAO
Each Elf NFT is the access key to EFC DAO, where holders can contribute to selecting charitable partners to receive our GOOD donations (we'll convert it to fiat first, of course).
Fighting for GOOD
Each match generates GOOD for the players, GOOD for the holders, and GOOD for charity.
10% of the earnings from each player pool will go to charity, paired with 15% of the audience pool. As EFC grows and gets more attention with time, we'll be able to give a tremendous sum to combat some of the world's biggest issues...together.
Giving from the start
50% of all mint and secondary sales proceeds will go to the charity wallet. When you buy an Elf on Opensea, 50% of the money that EFC DAO makes will be used to make a positive change in the world. How's that for good?
GOOD Tokenomics
We'll publish a whitepaper on GOOD as we get closer to its release. But until then, just know that 5% of all GOOD appreciation (as managed by the GOOD DAO) will be donated to charity. That means that simply by existing, GOOD will do good.
FOUR: MEMES
No crypto project is complete without memes. Here's what ours mean:
FightForGood
The elves are literally fighting and the outcome is winnings in the form of a GOOD token. But by fighting and participating, EFC DAO has the opportunity make some HUGE donations β that's also good. So EFC is literally a fight for good.
(4,4)
Have you heard of Olympus DAO? Their approach to managing OHM is an incredible technical achievement. Their (3,3) meme essentially signifies that the community wins when everyone stakes OHM into the protocol. 3,3 represents:
Sell (bad for the protocol and OHM holders)
Bond (good for the protocol, but doesn't generate growth)
Stake (good for the protocol, creates wealth for holders)
Together (person 1, person 2), by staking (3,3) everyone wins. We're similar...but we want to add a new element. Win while also making a positive and lasting impact on the world.
Sell (bad for GOOD, doesn't benefit the charitable giving element, doesn't grow wealth for everyone)
Bond (good for strengthening the protocol, doesn't grow wealth)
Stake (grows the protocol, grows wealth, doesn't have a global impact)
Impact (by engaging with games and DeFi built on GOOD, everyone wins...including the world)
While the GOOD DAO and its staking mechanism are in development, we're trialing this meme. It represents:
π₯ Play the game with your Elf or by participating in the audience
π° Earn GOOD by playing and HODLing
β€οΈ Make an impact on the world by buying, playing, and HODLing
Moving on
All good? Let's explore some of the main EFC ideas, starting with Glossary.
